How did it feel to participate in the photo shoot for this project? It was a huge honor to be a part of this photo-shoot, especially in the role of the photographer. I got to work with each and every one of the woman involved. It was amazing to be around such a diverse group of women, all having their own struggles, all having their own glory. I even got to meet a woman who had experienced a very similar condition to what I am going through right now. Due to breast cancer, I had not been behind the camera much at all. This photo shoot was the first project that I was able to work on when I was able to shoot again. That meant so much to me.
What does "being a woman" mean to you? I have never really thought of this question before because to me, I just think of it as being "Me." That is the amazing thing about being a woman this day and age. We can bet whom and what we want to be without having to fit in any certain role. We can choose to live within traditional roles or we can live outside the box, or anywhere in between. Like Denise says, there is no wrong way to be a woman!
I am... a survivor.
What are you most proud of in your life? I am proud of my fight. I am proud of the fact that I have been able to keep a great deal of positivity during a troubling time. I have learned a lot about myself and I am proud of who I am when I am faced with such a major challenge.
